Monk & Canatella. I can water my plants. Trip hop Bristol 1996

Never controlling what we hear
Sounds that pound the ground
They are only fears

Clouds so darkly
Rise above whilst
We sink into a chemical wake up (clouds)
These are the things that helped me
And smoke a cigarette

Fill my time before
Now I am finding
These things that will mean more to me

I water my plants
And smoke a cigarette
Or go out for a walk
On my own, or with friends

I can water my plants
And smoke a cigarette
Or go out for a walk
On my own, or with friends

Alone in my own pocket for weeks
A lonely rubber sheath
Will it be used or will I wear out my shoes
Walking and walking
To find someone somewhere, where it might
It might be used

I am here and you are there
Nothing in this world’s ever fair
I’ve got long hair
You have not
I’m never going to have what you have got
I would like one job one day
Probably only last one day

I water my plants
And smoke a cigarette
Or go out for a walk
On my own, or with friends

I can water my plants
And smoke a cigarette
Or go out for a walk
On my own, or with friends
