C&rsquo;est l&rsquo;une des quatre pi\u00e8ces expos\u00e9es dans le parc de Kassel, qualifi\u00e9e d&rsquo;intrusive.\u00a0Le terme botanique \u00a0<i>rud\u00e9ral<\/i> qui signifie \u00ab\u00a0qui\u00a0pousse sur les d\u00e9combres, les tas d&rsquo;ordures et g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement aux abords des habitations et sur les voies de circulation (\u00e0 cause de la richesse de ces lieux en azote) s&rsquo;applique aussi au sol. Un sol rud\u00e9ral est un sol\u00a0\u00bbform\u00e9 sur les d\u00e9combres, remblais, tas d&rsquo;ordures ou d\u00e9blais qui sont l&rsquo;\u0153uvre de l&rsquo;homme, constitu\u00e9 par un terreau souvent riche en azote et potasse. Le titre de la pi\u00e8ce est le <i>statement<\/i> concis et implacable -\u00e0 la mode conceptuelle d&rsquo;un Lawrence Weiner anarchiste- de\u00a0<i>la<\/i> geste rud\u00e9rale sociale\u00a0et commensale de l&rsquo;homme en prise avec la nature ordinaire des zones p\u00e9riph\u00e9riques urbaines, voire urbaines &#8211; v\u00e9g\u00e9talisation n\u00e9gligente de pieds d&rsquo;arbres, de jardini\u00e8res de trottoirs ou tentative d&rsquo;agriculture urbaine improvis\u00e9e sur butte-,\u00a0cr\u00e9atrice de jardins in\u00e9luctablement sauvages et\/ou mis\u00e9rables&nbsp;: \u00a0\u00ab\u00a0<span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Describing the project as an archaeological process, the artist has excavated a \u201ccut\u201d through the park beside the Oraangerie and then abandoned it to whatever will emerge. At the end of this \u201cgap within urban space,\u201d the action of digging has created a small hill. His radical poetics of the \u201cruderal\u201d\u2014literally, the growth of plants on waste ground\u2014counters the anthropocentric ideal of \u201cprimary nature,\u201d acting, as he puts it, \u201cagainst the aesthetics of the Pure and the True, against the ordering forces.\u201d The drifts of wild vegetation that flourish on postindustrial wastelands and at the urban periphery are materially speaking untamed and therefore more \u201cnatural\u201d than society\u2019s tightly controlled zones of contemporary \u201cwilderness.\u201d Ruderals are the ever-present underclass of the plant world, the \u201cmultitude\u201d ready to break through the city\u2019s surface at any opportunity, cracking the veneer of human order and stability.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #339966;\"> With \u201cprecise indifference,\u201d Weinberger (born in 1947 in Stams, Austria) creates situations in which these botanic insurgents are left to enact their inexorable cycle of growth and decay, heedless of human society\u2014a \u201cPLACE \/ WHERE THE LIVING REVEALS ITSELF ABOVE THE ORDERLY\u201d in a continual process of transformation. Twenty years on from his ruderal interventions in the Kulturbahnhof for documenta 10 (which still thrive today, amidst the disused railway tracks of Old Europe), Weinberger\u2019s new outdoor work for Kassel is entitled <i>Ruderal Society<\/i>.\u00a0\u00bb \u00ab\u00a0<\/span>Les plantes sont au c\u0153ur du discours de Lois Weinberger sur la relation entre la nature et la soci\u00e9t\u00e9. Les Rud\u00e9rales sont la sous-classe toujours pr\u00e9sente du monde v\u00e9g\u00e9tal, la \u00abmultitude\u00bb pr\u00eate \u00e0 traverser la surface de la ville \u00e0 toute occasion, en fendant le placage de l&rsquo;ordre humain et de la stabilit\u00e9.<br \/>\nAvec \u00abune indiff\u00e9rence pr\u00e9cise\u00bb, Weinberger (n\u00e9 en 1947 \u00e0 Stams, en Autriche) cr\u00e9e des situations dans lesquelles ces insurg\u00e9s botaniques sont laiss\u00e9s libres d&rsquo;\u00e9dicter leur cycle inexorable de croissance et de d\u00e9sint\u00e9gration, sans tenir compte de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 humaine &#8211; un \u00abLIEU \/ O\u00d9 LE VIVANT LUI-M\u00caME SE R\u00c9V\u00c8LE PAR DESSUS L&rsquo;ORDRE EXISTANT\u00a0\u00bb dans un processus continu de transformation.
